THE ECO-FOOD SME WANTS TO ENSURE THE SUPPORT NEEDED BY SMES AND AGRIBUSINESS SECTOR ORGANIZATIONS TO BASE THEIR PRODUCTION ON SUCH CONCEPTS AS ECO-SUSTAINABILITY, ECO-DESIGN,....

The project's objective is to facilitate and transfer business methodologies necessary to achieve the process of sustainability of their products. By implementing Eco-design guidelines on the inclusion of the principles underpinning the Integrated Product Policy (IPP), Environmental Management and Energy Efficient way.

This project will provide an opportunity for improvement for SMEs that comprise the Agribusiness sector towards sustainability and responsible consumption. It seeks to incorporate new concepts such as vision-system product, the concept of life cycle and integration of all actors involved in improving the environmental aspects of products. The project's objective is to facilitate and transfer business methodologies necessary to achieve the process of sustainability of their products.

To undertake this project with a consortium in which various actors are represented agrifood sector of the Ebro Axis, CEZ (Confederación de Empresarios de Zaragoza), CITA LA RIOJA (Centre for Food Technology and Innovation of La Rioja), and the brewing industry in Germany INTECHNICA (Technology Centre of Nuremberg).

The Eco-Food SME project is expected to two years and has been approved by the European Commission within the program: CIP-EIP-Eco-Innovation.
